After identifying an empty shell of a shop that would become Tranquillity Hair Salon, she dedicated six weeks to renovating the space, pouring her heart into DIY projects and painting to bring her vision to life. Finally, on June 20, 2009, Kate opened the doors of her salon, starting her journey with just one stylist, Jess.
From the very beginning, Kate’s commitment to excellent customer service and her desire for clients to leave looking and feeling fantastic quickly helped the salon gain an outstanding reputation. Between 2014 and 2024, Jess became Kate’s business partner, working tirelessly to expand the team by welcoming apprentices each year. Together, they focused on nurturing a culture of great customer service and continuous education, transforming novices into passionate stylists.
